Miss Tanya began studying dance and acrobatics at the age of six.  Her experience as a dancer, teacher and choreographer spans over 35 years. In 1990, Miss Tanya received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, with majors in dance and psychology from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo. She is a certified member of Dance Masters of America, and has completed three terms as a board member of DMA’s St. Louis based chapter.

Miss Tanya’s performing credits include the St. Louis Civic Ballet under the direction of Stanley Herbert and Webster Dance Theater under the direction of Gary Hubler. Her industrial and commercial credits include Navi-Star International, Maritz, Inc., JC Penney, Sears, Bridal Originals, Sports Energizers and the “State of St. Louis” promotional television spots. Miss Tanya was thrilled to appear on the cover of Ladue Magazine and most recently performed for the Polar Express Experience.

Miss Tanya’s choreographic credits include Alive Magazine 2007 “Glow” fashion show. Also in, 2007 Miss Tanya was commissioned by Inaside Chicago Dance to create an original work for their company. Her piece “On A Roll” was performed at the FOR THE CAUSE concert benefiting the Gilda’s Club of Chicago and was selected to perform at the nationally renowned dance festival “Dance Chicago”. She’s had the privilege of working with the Drama Department of Selvidge Middle School choreographing their musicals “Once Upon a Mattress’, “The Wizard of Oz”, “HONK” and “Once on this Island”. Additional choreographic credits include a “Flashmob” for AT&T annual West Coast Summit held in Los Angeles, CA., 60×60 dance concert at the Sheldon, St. Louis and most recently she produced and directed TG Manufacture’s corporate Christmas show. Her choreography can also be seen on the national cable channel HGTV in their “Christmas Across America” special.

Miss Tanya is the director of Dance Force, Motion Express’s student company. Over the years she has trained numerous dancers to overall and high score status at many regional and national dance competitions. Her students have gone on to dance with professional jazz, modern and acrobatic companies throughout the United States. Through her involvement with Dance Force Miss Tanya has received many “Best Choreography” and “Top Teacher” titles. Her work has also been recognized with “Entertainment Awards” and “Awards of Excellence”. Miss Tanya was honored to receive an “Outstanding Contribution to the Arts” award presented to her by Rhee Gold. She is also the founder/artistic director of MOVE, a professional dance company based in St. Louis.
